i like lala any ole way but she delivers it is so soulsie a nice laid back jazzy driving on a rainy day or love making songs yes i said it.
Dis is the tru meaning of soul at is finest. I luv dis cd front to back her voice is like breathe of fresh air. somethings i jus sit in my truck and laid back and close my eyes and let my mind go free.
I have the Joe Sample CD featuring Lalah Hathaway and love it, so I was expecting the same quality of music. Some of the songs were good, but most of them were not very different from all of the other girl singers of the day. While I may play this CD once in a while, it definitely will not make my favorites list.
I was looking forward to getting my cd, but I never receive it, so I cannot rate it. but the good thing about it I got my money back.I guess I will buy it in the store, because i refuse to want a month again for this cd.
In her signature melodic way, she weaves a story that is touching yet so so mellow. I find myself hitting repeat every time I play that song. Nevertheless, I will continue to buy Lalah's music before hearing it because I can be assured that there will plenty for me to love. Although not Lalah's best, this is still a quality disk. My fav is "That was then and this is now". I guess that my criticism would be that overall, the album is a little too mellow.
